Meet James

As an accomplished mountaineer and flight nurse, James has learned some chances are worth taking. But when it came to his failing heart valve, he wasn't about to chance it. See how TAVR by Edwards put him back in action.

ONLY A HEART VALVE TEAM CAN TELL IF
TAVR IS RIGHT FOR YOU1

Deciding to get evaluated by a Heart Valve Team for TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement) is not a small thing. You want to know you're in good hands. The good news is that a Heart Valve Team is made up of qualified healthcare professionals who specialize in the treatment of severe aortic stenosis, also known as heart valve failure, including the replacement of aortic valves. The team will closely collaborate with your cardiologist and primary care physician.1

What does a Heart Valve Team do?

Good question. First, the Heart Valve Team will evaluate you to make sure TAVR is right for you.2

During your evaluation, a TAVR Specialist (different from your cardiologist) will consider all factors to decide the best treatment plan for you, including:

Check mark icon Your age
Check mark icon Your current health status
Check mark icon Your ability to undergo the procedure and recover from it
Check mark icon The overall condition of your heart
